For a day of fun and to dedicate the tournament and all proceeds to the Marine Scholarship Fund for Marines from 29 Palms California that have been severely injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“For nearly 50 years, the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has helped accomplish what many Marines cannot—enabling their children to pursue dreams of a college education. Since 1962, our Foundation has provided more than $34 million in academic needs-based scholarships to upstanding and deserving sons and daughters of our Marines, with particular attention given to children whose parent was killed or wounded in action. More than 22,000 scholarships to date, provided by your generous investment, have helped set positive, new paths for these young men and women while honoring our nation’s brave Marines.

The Foundation has made special commitments to the sons and daughters of Marines and Navy Corpsmen, and in other special circumstances, to the children of all American servicemen and women, whose parent is killed in combat or a terrorist attack.”
