| Trading Places International Expands its Presence in South American Market
Trading Places International celebrates the recent opening of its fifth South American office, having expanded
from vacation exchanges to sales and resort management. The iconic Argentine resort, Club Hotel DUT Bariloche is
Trading Places’ eighth affiliation agreement for the Argentine market. With the emerging vacation ownership market
in South America and the surging economy, Trading Places is proud to have been ahead of the curve in this exciting
segment of the vacation ownership industry.
It was only eighteen months ago that Trading Places opened its South American corporate office in Mar del Plata,
Argentina. Today this office employs over 100 staff members and provides reservations, exchange and owner services to
thousands of timeshare owners as well as management, sales and marketing for independent developers. Executive Vice
President, Marcus Wood stated, “We found the market to be hungry for a new and creative vision. New deals in Chile,
Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay are coming down the pike. This is a very exciting time for our company.”
Trading Places is a 35-year veteran of the travel and vacation ownership industries.
It is the only vertically integrated, independent timeshare company that provides exchange and
rental services, full-service resort management, as well as a full-service travel agency. It currently
manages over 50,000 timeshare owners at 30 resort locations in North and South America, and Mexico.
