Trading Places International is in the News!
In the February 2005 issue of Developments Magazine Trading Places International was recognized for our contributions to the wounded service members at Walter Reed Medical Center.
For the past four years GOVARM.COM and Trading Places have donated vacations to the Department of Defense Morale Welfare and Recreation offices (MWR). These donated vacations are used by servicemen and women for military leave with their families and loved ones.
The wars being waged in Iraq and Afghanistan have resulted in a growing need for vacations for our U.S. servicemen and women. Each week the number of casualties and injuries resulting from the armed conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan are growing. For every service member killed in these conflicts, seven service members are wounded. The most seriously wounded are treated at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC. Vacations are a very important component of the recovery process for our injured service personnel.
GOVARM.COM, on behalf of the Walter Reed Medical Center-Patient Recreation Program, is turning to the vacation timeshare industry to request donations of excess inventory weeks to give to service members and their families. These weeks will be presented to convalescing service members on leave during their rehabilitation process.
