Welcome to Trading Places International. Please read our terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions set forth the legally binding agreement between you and us. By accessing Trading Places services, you agree to the terms. Trading Places International reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, alter or otherwise update these terms at any time. Such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting. You agree to be bound by such revised terms. These terms may or may not be affiliated with others that may have terms and conditions that differ from, or contain terms in addition to, the terms specified here. Your access to such is governed by the terms and conditions and policies of those entities as well.
Trading Places Vacation Exchange Club
  1. Trading Places Vacation Exchange Club is an independent vacation exchange club developed and operated by Trading Places International to offer travel and timeshare services for use exclusively by eligible members.
  2. Any representations concerning Vacation Exchange Club are limited to the materials supplied or otherwise approved by Trading Places International. Trading Places International is not responsible for any representations or performance by any resort, hotel, marketing company, airline or any travel group.
  3. Initiations and first year membership is $79. Renewal membership fee is $79 per member and is paid by members who choose to renew. Two year memberships are $144, three years for $204, and five years for $314.
  4. Vacation Exchange Club services are for use by members exclusively, at any time, whether for business, vacationing, or personal needs.
  5. Members acknowledge and understand that the travel and airline industries undergo price changes often, sometimes several times a day. It is possible that sample fares, rates and packages described in printed material may be changed by the time a member pays for tickets and is confirmed at a specific rate. There is usually limited seating and certain restrictions associated with discounted fares. Most discount/advance purchase fares have change/cancellation penalties.
  6. Members must abide by the terms and conditions of membership in Vacation Exchange Club. Violation of these terms and conditions may result in cancellation of membership. Such terms and conditions are subject to change without notice to the Club Member. Cancelled memberships are not entitled to any refunds.
  7. Vacation Exchange Club provides discounted rates and fares for eligible Club Members through large group membership. Vacation Exchange Club is not responsible for, and shall not by its actions or lack thereof become responsible for any Act of God, terrorism, war, or other unforeseeable event.
  8. Vacation Exchange Club offers travel and timeshare benefits to its members through multiple affiliations with third party vendors. Vacation Exchange Club benefits are available only to members. Participation companies and properties are correct at the time of printing and may be deleted or changed without notice. Advance purchase is required and charged to member's credit card at the time of booking. Once reservations are booked, restrictions and cancellation fees may apply.
Exchange Terms and Conditions
  1. Fixed time owners - Please notify TPI of your plans to bank with us at least 6 months prior to arrival date of the week you’re banking.
  2. Float time owners - Be sure to reserve your week with your management company and call TPI to bank your week early, preferably at least 6-12 months prior to the arrival date of the week you are banking.
  3. Please Note - TPI reserves the right to accept or deny any request to bank a week, whether it is a Fixed or Floating week.
  4. Exchange requests are NOT guaranteed. They are arranged on a space-available basis.
  5. ALL CONFIRMED EXCHANGES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE.
  6. Once you receive a Banking Acknowledgment in the mail, your deposited week will be good to exchange within the next two years. You may extend the week for a third year, if you do so before it expires, for a service fee of $109. (Extensions are NOT available for wait-listed weeks.)
  7. You are responsible to pay any expenses incurred for missing items or damages caused by you or your guests while staying in your exchange unit.
  8. Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notice. All efforts have been made to compile accurate information. TPI assumes no responsibility for errors or omission of data herein.
Upgrade
An upgrade is defined as: A stay during a season that is more desirable, or in a unit that has greater occupancy, than the one you own. An upgrade must be requested at least six months in advance. Fees start at $200 per upgrade depending on variables of season, unit, availability and reservations lead time. You are urged to purchase the unit and season you are most likely to use. Limited availability. (Upgrade fee structure not applicable for Club Cascadas de Baja.)
 
Resorts to Ports Cruise Exchange Terms and Conditions
  1. You must be a member of Trading Places Vacation Exchange Club to complete a Cruise Exchange. A one-time $39 activation fee is required. Not unless your membership lapses will this fee be reassessed.
  2. TPI certified cruise counselors will factor in the value of your week, include the cruise line’s addition of meals, entertainment and activities and arrive at the balance cost for your cruise. Port charges and taxes will be added; airfare added if needed.
  3. Initial cruise deposit and trade fee required at time of reservation.
  4. Weeks will be accepted up to two years in advance as long as that year’s maintenance fees and assessments are paid.
  5. Bonus Weeks will not be accepted.
  6. Use Week must not have been previously banked or deposited.
  7. The timeshare week that will be applied toward your cruise must be reserved with Trading Places at least six months prior to the arrival date of your use time.
  8. No blackout dates for cruises.
  9. Cruises must be seven days or longer and are booked on “space available” basis.
  10. Written confirmations will be sent after initial payment for the cruise is remitted.
  11. A week given to TPI toward the cruise rate is final after initial payment for the cruise, and cannot be returned.
  12. All terms and conditions of the cruise lines apply.
  13. Your resort week must qualify for inclusion in the Resorts to Ports® program; at the discretion of Trading Places International.
  14. Cruise rates are per person/double occupancy.
  15. Program subject to change without notice.
Trading Places International Resort Rental Accommodations
Spur of the Moment Hot Deals All “spur of the moment” reservations are non-changeable, non-refundable.

Villas & Casas All payments are non-refundable unless the property can be re-rented for the exact dates cancelled, then $50 will be withheld.

Condominiums Once deposit is received, a $50 cancellation fee will be assessed to any reservation canceled or revised more than 45 days prior to the arrival date. Within 45 days of arrival a two night room charge will be the penalty. A condominium already confirmed cannot be canceled and re-booked as a bonus week or exchange. Bonus weeks are non-refundable.

All Other Properties Reservation revisions, no-shows and early departures will be considered cancellations and are subject to the terms above. All monies received for reservations during Christmas/New Years (Dec. 15 - Jan. 5) are non-refundable unless the property can be re-rented, then $50 will be withheld.
